New 1000-ton hot forging press at Carelong facility

We are excited to announce a major expansion of our hot forging capabilities. Two new 1000-ton hydraulic forging presses have been installed and commissioned at our Quanzhou manufacturing facility, significantly increasing our production capacity for large forged components.

Why We're Expanding

Over the past two years, we've seen growing demand from European trailer and commercial vehicle manufacturers for larger forged parts ?particularly suspension components, king pins, and heavy-duty fasteners. Our existing forging line, which included 250-ton and 630-ton presses, was operating near full capacity.

The new 1000-ton presses enable us to:

  • Produce larger components ?up to 5kg per piece, compared to the previous maximum of approximately 2kg
  • Increase daily output by approximately 40% across our forging operations
  • Serve new market segments that require heavier forged parts for construction and mining equipment
  • Reduce lead times for high-volume orders by distributing load across more equipment

What This Means for Our Customers

The expansion directly benefits our customers in several ways:

Shorter Lead Times

With additional capacity, we can accept larger orders without extending delivery times. Our standard lead time remains 35 days for most products, and we now have the flexibility to accommodate rush orders more effectively.

Broader Product Range

The 1000-ton presses open up new product categories we previously couldn't offer, including:

  • Larger trailer suspension brackets and mounting components
  • Heavy equipment pins and shafts up to 80mm diameter
  • Larger forging blanks for subsequent CNC machining

Quality Consistency

The new presses feature advanced process control systems that monitor forging force, temperature, and dwell time in real time. This ensures consistent grain structure and dimensional accuracy across production runs.

Investment in People

Alongside the equipment investment, we've added 15 new operators and 3 forging engineers to our team, bringing our total workforce to over 200 employees. All new staff have completed our internal training program covering safety procedures, equipment operation, and quality standards.

Our Forging Capabilities at a Glance

With the new presses, Carelong's forging department now operates:

  • 30+ forging presses ranging from 160-ton to 1000-ton capacity
  • Cold headers ?20+ machines for high-volume bolt and nut production
  • CNC machining centers ?80+ machines for post-forging precision machining
  • Mechanical presses ?33 units (160?500 ton) for stamping operations
This expansion represents our commitment to being a complete manufacturing partner for the commercial vehicle and heavy equipment industries. We're not just making parts ?we're investing in the capability to solve our customers' most challenging production requirements.
